California DRE exam-day checklist
Check the appointment and admission requirements before travel, then keep the final review light.

Confirm before leaving
- Confirm the scheduled date, time and testing center through DRE.
- Bring currently accepted identification that matches the appointment record.
- Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early.
- Check the testing center's calculator instructions; DRE's published page contains conflicting calculator language.
- Arrange storage for prohibited personal items and follow the proctor's instructions.
- Check transportation, food, rest and any approved accommodation arrangements.
During and after the examination
The salesperson examination allows three hours for 150 questions. A passing result requires at least 70%. Keep track of time and answer the question actually asked.
DRE does not disclose a passing candidate's numerical score. A failing report provides the overall result and subject-area performance. Do not reconstruct the overall score by averaging area percentages.
