Pass California is an independent study resource for the California Department of Real Estate salesperson license examination. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to the California Department of Real Estate or any state agency.

Nothing on this site is legal advice, tax advice, or professional advice of any kind. Where a decision turns on money, on a deadline, or on a legal obligation, verify it against the DRE page we link to beside the relevant figure, or take advice from a qualified professional.

We make no representation that using this site will result in your passing the examination. We publish no pass rate for users of our product. Where we discuss DRE's published exam statistics, we identify the period and population; those figures are not a personal pass prediction. We make no comparative claim about other resources without documented support. Those positions are set out in our editorial standards.

Facts change. DRE fees increased on July 1, 2024, and course requirements changed on January 1, 2024. Every governed fact here carries the date it was checked, and you should treat a date more than a few months old as a prompt to verify against the source rather than as a warranty of currency.

Every practice question on this site is written to DRE's published content outline. None is reproduced from an actual examination. Business and Professions Code section 123 makes reproducing examination questions a misdemeanor with liability for damages up to $10,000, and section 10153.01 permits the Commissioner to bar a candidate from the examination for up to three years.

You may use these questions for your own study. You may not reproduce the question bank, the content-area guides or the glossary commercially without permission.

This site links to dre.ca.gov and to other external services. Those organizations control their own content and their own terms, and we are not responsible for either. A link is a citation rather than an endorsement, though in the case of DRE pages it is a citation to the authoritative source.

The Pass California app is free to download and free to try. The browser study app at app.passcaliforniarealestate.com is the same study product in a browser; you sign in to use it, with the same Pass California account. Premium is a single one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it unlocks every study mode for the account that bought it, on your phone and in the browser study app.

In the mobile app, Apple or Google takes the payment and shows the price in your local currency, so the price you see at purchase is the price that applies. Web purchases are sold and processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our authorized reseller and merchant of record. Paddle provides the checkout, collects payment and any applicable tax, issues the receipt, and handles invoicing and billing support, and the price shown at Paddle checkout is the price that applies.

Your purchase is a personal license to use the app for your own study. It is not transferable, and sharing an account so that several people study on one purchase is not permitted. You may not copy, resell or republish the question bank, the study guides, the glossary or the Math Coach content.

Payments, refunds, chargebacks and purchase disputes are handled by whichever company took the payment: Paddle for web purchases, under its buyer terms, and Apple or Google for purchases in the mobile app, under theirs, together with any rights you have under applicable law. Paddle may consider discretionary refund requests made within 14 days of the transaction; making a request does not guarantee a refund. In the mobile app an account is optional; you can study as a guest on one device. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself, and you can delete your account and its data at any time from Settings in the mobile app, or by emailing us. We may suspend an account that is used to abuse the service, such as automated scraping of the question bank, and we may stop offering the app, in which case a purchase already made remains usable for as long as the store allows a download.

The mobile app and the browser study app are provided as they are. We do not warrant that either will be uninterrupted or error free, and to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid for it.
