Legal
Privacy
The short version: there is no account system, we do not ask for an email at any point, and your study progress never leaves your browser.
This is a draft pending legal review
This page describes the site's actual behaviour accurately, and it has not yet been reviewed by counsel. The California-specific sections in particular are incomplete by design rather than by oversight, and this notice will be removed when the review is done.
What we store
No account, no email. There is no registration, no login, and no point at which the site asks for an email address. Complete results appear on every practice question and every calculation without one.
Study progress, in your browser only. Which content areas you have opened, which practice questions you have answered and whether you got them right, whether you marked yourself confident before answering, and your most recent sampler and mock results. All of it is stored in your browser's local storage under a single namespaced key, and none of it is transmitted anywhere. A visible control on the study guide index and the review page clears it entirely.
Calculator inputs are not stored at all. Figures you type into a calculator live in the page while you use it and are gone when you leave.
If storage is blocked. Everything still works. Progress tracking is an enhancement, and the site degrades to a fully readable state without it.
Third parties
Fonts are currently served by Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to a Google domain when a page loads. Self-hosting those font files to remove that dependency is an outstanding item recorded in updates.
Every link to a DRE page, an eLicensing service or another external site is an ordinary link. Following it takes you to that organisation, whose own privacy practices apply, and we receive no information about whether you did.
Your rights under California law
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, including rights to know, to delete, to correct, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
Because this site collects no personal information, holds no account records, and transmits nothing about you anywhere, there is no personal information for us to disclose, delete, correct, sell or share. The one category of data the site creates, your study progress, is held on your own device and you can delete it yourself at any time using the clear control, or by clearing site data in your browser.
This section is deliberately incomplete pending counsel review, and it will be expanded to address the statutory notice requirements properly rather than approximately.
