A useful result does more than count correct answers. It shows whether you covered the blueprint, where weighted losses cluster, and which mistakes came from beliefs you felt sure about.
Every official DRE subtopic has at least two questions, including both foundation and application difficulty, and every question carries its exact label.
Mixed mocks use the approximate percentages DRE publishes, so a weakness in the 25% area matters more than the same miss rate in the 8% area.
You record how sure you are before the answer appears. Confident mistakes surface misconceptions that an ordinary score hides.
Missed questions stay available for review in this browser, with confident misses first and the affected study guide one step away.
The California salesperson examination has 150 multiple-choice questions, four choices per question, and a 3-hour time limit. At least 70% must be answered correctly. DRE also says its topic list is informational rather than totally comprehensive, and a particular form samples the broader field rather than promising every listed subtopic.
One question from each of the seven official DRE content areas. It shows you which areas feel unfamiliar. It cannot tell you whether you would pass, and one question can never measure a whole area.
7 questions. Every answer has a complete explanation, and results are shown with no account or email required.
Before each answer you can say how sure you are. It is optional, but where you were confident and wrong is the most useful thing a practice set can tell you, and it is the list this session will give you at the end.
Study mode is on. The correct answer and explanation appear after each response.
Unfinished attempts are saved in this browser for seven days. Clearing site progress also removes saved attempts.
Use a single-area set to learn or repair one subject. Use a mixed weighted set later when you want a more honest readiness signal.

The order matters. Learning sets build recall. Fresh mixed sets test whether you can recognize the rule when the topic label is no longer doing the work for you.
Use seven questions only to find unfamiliar areas.
Work each area and read every explanation, including correct guesses.
Take a fresh weighted mock without notes, pauses, or outside help.
Return first to confident misses and the heaviest weighted losses.
Use a full 150-question timed run before treating a score as readiness evidence.
A practice score is evidence, not a forecast
Repeated questions, narrow topic sets, hints, pauses, and familiar answer positions can all inflate a score. No private result guarantees the live outcome. Look for stable performance across fresh questions, all seven areas, realistic timing, reviewed guesses, and declining repeated errors.
The free web bank lets you test the method. The mobile experience is designed for longer simulations, deeper answer review, and study that continues away from a browser.
Move from a timed full-length simulation to per-option feedback, weighted progress, spaced return of misses, and offline review without rebuilding your study plan each time you open the app.
Why nobody has the real questions
DRE protects the actual licensing examination. California law makes unauthorized reproduction or use of licensing questions a serious offense, and the Commissioner may bar a candidate who willfully cheats on or subverts an examination for up to three years. These questions are original and follow DRE's published topic list. They do not copy, reconstruct, or claim access to the live examination.
These are original practice questions, not copied DRE examination items. California law restricts reproducing and using actual licensing questions, and DRE does not release its live question bank. Every question here is mapped to a topic in DRE's published salesperson examination outline.
Yes. All 249 questions, answer explanations, seven area sets, weighted mock sets, confidence tracking, and missed-question review are free on the web. No account, email, or payment is required.
DRE says the salesperson examination uses a multiple-choice format with four choices. These original questions use that four-choice structure and follow DRE's published content areas, but they do not copy the live examination or claim to reproduce its wording or difficulty exactly.
There is no DRE-required practice count. Coverage, freshness, weighting, and review matter more than volume. Work every official subtopic, review correct guesses as carefully as misses, and use fresh weighted sets rather than repeating familiar questions until the answers become recognizable.
No. Complete results appear immediately with no email, no signup and no account. Your progress is stored in your own browser only, and a clear control removes it.
DRE requires at least 70% on the salesperson examination, but a private practice percentage is not the same score. A useful editorial target is at least 80% on two fresh, full 150-question simulations completed within three hours, together with complete topic coverage, stable pacing, reviewed guesses, and fewer repeated errors. This is study guidance, not a DRE rule or a promise that you will pass.
The public bank and explanations received an editorial and primary-source review through October 10, 2026. The published DRE outline was rechecked on October 7, 2026. The linked study guides provide source context for the rules being taught. This review date is not a promise that laws or exam guidance will remain unchanged; check the official source for a time-sensitive rule.
The full bank is organized by DRE's seven official content areas. Weighted mock sets allocate questions using the approximate percentages DRE publishes: 25%, 17%, 15%, 14%, 12%, 9%, and 8%. Single-area sets are for learning. Weighted mixed sets are the better readiness signal.
No. One question per area can reveal unfamiliar subjects, but it cannot measure a 150-question examination or an entire content area. Use the sampler as a starting direction, then complete area practice, fresh weighted sets, and full review before drawing conclusions.
The mobile experience is designed around a full 150-question timed simulation, per-option explanations, offline study, weighted progress, confidence calibration, and spaced return of missed questions. The free web bank lets you try the method before deciding whether the mobile workflow is useful to you.
