Practice and Disclosures, 25% of the examination
Blind advertisement
A real estate advertisement that conceals the fact that a licensee is acting in a licensed capacity or omits required identifying information.
Also called: Blind ad
California first-point-of-contact solicitation materials must identify the licensee by name and license identification number and include the responsible broker's identity as required. Team-name advertising has additional presentation rules. An advertisement can still be unlawful when its words, images, or omissions create a false or misleading impression even if the identifying information appears.

What must appear in a licensee's first point of contact advertising?
Written to DRE's published topic list. Not a real examination question, since reproducing those is a misdemeanor under B&P Code section 123.
